Technology

At Cal-Western Reconveyance Corporation, we offer the latest technology as a way to increase productivity and to streamline the services that we offer our clients.

In today's business environment nothing is truer than the old adage "time is money." But in an increasingly competitive world, time also represents efficiency, rapid access to information and satisfied customers.

Real Vision Document Imaging enables us to convert that mass of information into readily available images that can be accessed instantly from our desktop. That means fast answers, satisfied customers, productive personnel and increased profits.

In addition, RVI's system-wide capabilities mean that multiple users at different locations can simultaneously work with the same information, to improve workflow and enhance customer satisfaction.

By transforming paper documents to digital images, we are able to significantly reduce the amount of space needed to store critical information. And, with the improved efficiencies enjoyed by our staff, they'll be able to accomplish more work in less time, while increasing customer satisfaction.

We will go online with virtually any system to allow for the most cost-effective default administration service available so that clients can improve the bottom line and expand their resources. We are also willing to work with third-party vendors to increase efficiencies and reduce costs associated with technologies.

Cal-Western also participates in electronic invoicing systems as required or directed by our clients including, NewInvoice and iClear systems.

We have found that these systems increase productivity, reduce errors and also accelerate processing time.  We encourage our clients to utilize the latest technology and to go “paperless” in order to realize these benefits:

  • Access information almost instantaneously via online capabilities;
  • Eliminate staff time spent on data entry allowing them to perform other tasks;
  • Reduce errors due to data entry redundancy. Information will input directly from Cal-Western onto your system eliminating a step for potential error.
  • Cut the time your processors are on the phone. Once Cal-Western updates your note screen or communicates via e-mail, your processors will be able to read the latest comments from our staff. At the same time, our staff will be able to read the latest comments input by your staff. In addition, your staff will no longer need to call our office for NOD dates, Sales dates, etc. This information will be entered directly into your system;
  • Create a report system that will compliment the paperless foreclosure system Cal-Western currently has in place. This enables clients to rely more on the internal reporting procedures that they are familiar with.
  • Lessen the amount of paper that is transferred between our offices;
  • Increase accountability through task tracking;
  • Process reinstatements and payoffs; and
  • Increase staff productivity and realize tangible financial benefits.

  • Databases & User Access
  • Security: Facility security, internal and external including Disaster Recovery and Internet Security.
  • Communication: Global Internet Access, Internal Communication, EDI, Telephone and Fax Systems.
  • Training: Our philosophy of "technology is only as effective as the users knowledge of that technology," has been our catalyst in implementing our in-house training programs. Our technical trainers have on-going applications training specific to the users needs.

Information Systems Goals & Challenges

Improving Service: Information Systems not only means the service we provide our clients but it also includes giving our staff the tools and training they need so they can provide efficient and accurate service to our customers.

Lowering Costs & Improving Quality: The investment in current technology not only reduces manual processes, redundancy and errors but allows both Cal-Western and its clients to provide a high level of quality service that separates us from our competitors.

Investment Protection: One of the most challenging aspects of designing and managing Information Systems is having a system that remains on the cutting-edge. Cal-Western can recommend, purchase and configure systems and applications that can be migrated easily and inexpensively into future systems.

In order to be competitive in today’s Mortgage Banking and Credit Union Servicing Industries, Cal-Western realizes that our technology systems must be based on a customer driven process. Our goal is to work with our clients to ensure that information systems reflect the management vision, improve the business process, and serve the people – the end-user, the clients, and the vendors – who rely on and utilize these systems.
